Data e Horário
A premiação não tem uma data fixa. No ano passado, ocorreu em uma quarta-feira, mas neste ano a MTV escolheu o dia 7 de setembro, um domingo, para realizar o evento. Com previsão de três horas de duração, as celebridades começam a aparecer a partir das 21h (horário de Brasília), enquanto o pré-show terá início às 20h.
Transmissão e apresentadores no Brasil
O público brasileiro poderá acompanhar a cerimônia de diferentes maneiras. Na TV, o canal da MTV transmite para assinantes de TV a cabo. O streaming pago Paramount+ também exibe o evento, com tradução simultânea, trazendo os apresentadores Didi Effe e Gabie Fernandes, além de um time de convidados comentando os destaques da noite.
Quem não possui serviços pagos pode assistir gratuitamente na plataforma Pluto TV, também transmitida simultaneamente.
Anfitrião e apresentadoras convidadas
Recentemente, a MTV anunciou que o grande anfitrião da noite será o rapper LL Cool J, repetindo sua presença marcante no prêmio. E não é à toa, visto que o cantor já foi reconhecido com dois Grammys e dois Billboard Music Awards.
Mas não para por aí. A lista de apresentadoras convidadas também traz nomes de peso, como: Ciara, Drew Barrymore, Paris Hilton, Brittany Snow, Megan Stalter e outras estrelas.

As apresentações prometem agradar a todos os gostos. Entre os nomes estão:

Esse ano, o VMA anunciou a escolha de três artistas que serão homenageados no evento. A cantora Mariah Carey ganhará o Video Vanguard Award, considerado a honraria máxima da premiação.
O rapper Busta Rhymes receberá o inédito Rock The Bells Visionary Award, prêmio que reconhece o impacto cultural de um artista.
O outro troféu inédito é de Ricky Martin como Latin Icon, buscando dar visibilidade à influência latina na cultura pop.
